Mark N Tompkins is famous Canadian set painter and scenic artist working and living in the United States. He is often working with the Hollywood movie industry, as well as other feature films, games developers since as early as 1999.[1]

History Edit

Tompkins was born on January 16, 1975 in Vancouver, British Columbia. When he was very young, he and his family moved over to Staten Island, New York City. Mark has two siblings and his mother and father come from the working class. In fact, his father was a driver in a moving company and his mother was working at social services. Mark N Tompkins didn't disappoint his parents with his education and enrolled at the Capilano University in Vancouver, which is one of the most prestigious institutions in the art world.[2]

Career Edit

Mark started his career in the 90's, working as a background and matte painter for small time TV series and film projects. His break-thru came in 1999, when he did a great job with Lake Placid.[3] Later, he was involved in several other horror genred movie projects like Final Destination and Thir13en Ghosts.

Tompkins also tried his luck in the career of acting, but with small success.[4]
